In April 2017, the State Council officially approved the National Development and Reform Commission's request for the establishment of "China Brand Day", agreeing to designate May 10th as "China Brand Day" every year starting from 2017.

This year, the National Development and Reform Commission continued to organize China Brand Day activities in conjunction with the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration of Market Supervision, the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. This is the 7th Chinese Brand Day since its establishment in 2017.

The theme of this event is "Chinese Brand, World Sharing", and the annual theme is "Brand New Power, Quality New Life". The opening ceremony, China Brand Development International Forum and related sub forums, China Brand Development Achievement Exhibition, and a series of brand creation special events will be held.

The people's governments of various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and cities specifically designated in the state plan, as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as relevant central enterprises and industry associations, will jointly participate in promoting brand development concepts, consolidating brand development consensus, and gathering brand development forces.
