On June 24th, Minivision and Shenyang HUAWEI Ascend Artificial Intelligence Ecological Innovation Center held a business and technology cooperation docking meeting.
Based on the HUAWEI Ascend AI basic software and hardware platform, both parties will jointly create the "Algorithm Mall" smart vision full scene ecological solution, and jointly build a smart vision multimodal visualization algorithm platform to promote the prosperity and development of Shenyang's artificial intelligence industry and accelerate the digital transformation of the city.
Algorithms have always been the core support force driving the development of the AI industry and the transformation of the digital economy.
At present, Minivision has accumulated over 300 self-developed algorithms in 6 categories, including facial and human analysis, behavior analysis, object analysis, pet analysis, text recognition, and interactive entertainment algorithms. Minivision algorithm is highly integrated and has rich functions, which can accurately match the needs of various scenarios such as smart cities, intelligent security, smart communities, and industrial quality inspection. It has advantages such as cross platform, mainstream model adaptation, and flexible deployment forms. In this cooperation, Minivision will rely on its own algorithm advantages to provide strong support for building a "algorithm mall".
At the meeting, Hu Jianguo, Vice President of Minivision Technology and Dean of AI Research Institute, introduced the highlights of the company's technologies such as mask wearing facial recognition, fine-grained video structured analysis algorithm, and multimodal representation recognition algorithm, as well as the current research and development status in Nanjing. He also explained the demand allocation of self built computing power and cloud computing power, as well as the modeling of 3D scene AI algorithm.

President Hu stated that Minivision currently has over 300 self-developed algorithms, including over 5000 basic models. Minivision will select high-quality algorithms to match projects that can be quickly implemented, achieving efficient transformation of cooperation between both parties. President Hu proposed that the SaaS system billing method can be adopted to provide algorithm services to partners.
At the same time, the Minivision and Innovation Center has also reached a consensus on the expansion of the AIOT ecosystem. Since 2018, Minivision has been involved in Mindshare related technologies, and on this basis, the future cooperation between Minivision and the Innovation Center will be smoother.

Jiang Yi stated that in future cooperation, both parties will build corresponding algorithm platforms based on the Shenyang Artificial Intelligence Computing Center and Ascend software and hardware technology, and provide external services in SaaS mode. In the next stage of work, Shenyang Branch of Minivision will establish a localized R&D team of over 30 people to undertake and operate projects in the Northeast market. Minivision will also settle in the innovation center and establish a Northeast R&D headquarters base.

Liu Ming, CEO of Shenyang HUAWEI Ascend Artificial Intelligence Ecological Innovation Center, explained the existing computing power scale, future expansion plans, and inference equipment sales plan of the innovation center. At present, the computing power, training equipment, and inference equipment provided based on Ascension technology are very sufficient, and the network bandwidth of the computing center will also meet all the needs of future ecological development. Liu Ming stated that the "Algorithm Mall" is a key direction for cooperation between both parties, and the Innovation Center can continuously optimize it based on customer needs.
Since May this year, Minivision Technology and Innovation Center has gradually reached a consensus on AI ecological cooperation, team entry, and talent cultivation, creating an "algorithm mall" to deepen the cooperation between the two sides.
In the future, both parties will work together with the School of Software at Northeastern University to establish a joint innovation laboratory, which will conduct in-depth research and development for segmented scenarios such as smart parks and smart cities, and enable more new technologies and models to be implemented in Shenyang.
Minivision and Shenyang Ascend Artificial Intelligence Ecological Innovation Center will work together to continuously inject "upward vitality" into the AI industry in Shenyang, build a new ecosystem of regional level AI industry, and contribute to the construction of "Digital Shenyang and Smart City".
